In 2011 Mozambican, Guinea-Bissau, South African and French artists worked together to create masks and giant puppets that started the street shows on two popular markets in the city of Maputo. Mozambican Giant Puppet Association continues to put into practice the knowledge and experience of giant puppetry offering training, presenting shows and bringing the techniques of creation and construction of heads, masks and giant puppets to the Mozambican audience.
