Sencirk is the first circus company in Senegal, but it is so much more than this. The association was founded in order to use all what a circus can offer to support children in social and medical difficult situations in Dakar and near places around Dakar. The circus represents a way to leave social exclusion behind, especially professional exclusion. The circus is composed of diverse and professional artists, circus teachers and volunteers coming from all over the world. This circus is a place to meet, to exchange and to engage. Sencirk uses the circus art to put in question our epoch and to share these questions with the audience. Sencirk represents as well a circus school who cooperates with other schools, offers internships and trains young artists. The circus school enables transmission and artistic blooming by developing the physical and mental capacity of children.
